Dove of Hope & Trimming the Town

Dove of Hope & Trimming the Town

Do you love how our Dove of Hope Bundle of stamp set and dies pairs beautifully with our Trimming the Town Suite? I do, and they were perfect for one of my recent Kit Classes.

My crafting class friends requested a Cube Card Fancy Fold using current offerings in our August to January Mini Catalogue.

Fancy Fold – Cube Card

I imagined the Dove flying over our homes, bringing hope & peace, especially as we approach Christmas. I knew the DSP would be prefect to convey that message, especially as one of the pages contains Christmas messages in many languages. In the DSP, we also have house scenes, trees and great background papers.

You can see a variation in the following photo, including the DSP Christmas Greetings in middle of the cube base.

Accompanying Kit Card

The dies in the Trimming the Town Suite reminded me of our Beach Boxes around Port Phillip Bay and on our Mornington Peninsular. They are so evocative of Summer, the promise of visiting the beach and enjoying a seascape. Therefore, the little houses also got a look-in for the accompanying Kit Card.

The separate card elements work for either a portrait or landscape variation. You might notice that I included a stamped and gold heat embossed dove in the landscape card and used the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder to add detail to the Misty Moonlight layer in the portrait card.

I finished the inside of the card with one of the Coming Home houses stamped in Sahara Sand ink, a simple greeting and Real Red heart. The Misty Moonlight swoosh is from Curvy Christmas. (It’s available now.)

The Cube Card, one landscape or portrait orientation card and one gift tag (see below) are made from one sheet of Misty Moonlight cardstock. What a great use of our crafting supplies!

Gift Tags

As I had all the elements at hand, I quickly made some gift tags, using our Scallop Tag Topper Punch, and Red Braided Linen Trim. You might notice that I’ve alternated the house types, Real Red cardstock and Brass Foil to add some extra pizzazz to the gift tags.
