May 2020 Newsletter

Yay! I’m getting excited.  Only two weeks to go before the launch of the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.  Only two weeks to go before the launch of our new In Colours.

We are in this weird space in time.  Hiatus with crafting and hiatus with our lives generally.  We’re seeing the last of the Autumn leaves fall as we brace for Winter. It’s drizzling outside, so a good time to finalise this newsletter for you.

These are the topics I’ll be covering.  You’ll be able to scroll down to view.

  • Where we are, generally, personally and within SU
  • Learnings & Tips
  • Announcements: Clearance Rack, Last Chance Products, Early Release, Creative Eight WOW Tutorials, 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue Launch.

Where we are, generally, personally and within SU

Some of COVID-19 restrictions have eased and it’s lovely to be able to carefully visit with family.  We’ve almost grown used to ZOOM gym sessions, book club, team meetings, board meetings etc. My class ladies are crafting remotely, my family are working remotely and/or physically distancing.

Luckily, we can still walk the trail and delight in our beautiful environment.

Stampin’ Up! Product Availability and Scheduling

Generally, we’re pretty much back on track.  Most products are readily available.  Shipping can be fantastic, but there are still occasional delays with Australia Post.  That is to be expected with the general increase in on-line ordering.

Learnings, Tips & Tricks

Here are a few quick tips:
  • There are two sides to every sheet of Designer Series Paper, you can mix and match and get a totally different look.  Are there DSP’s you just love?  Many are still on Last Chance Products.  Woven Threads , Pressed Petals and Birthday Bonanza are the DSPs in the following photos.  Woven Threads and Pressed Petals are discounted!
  • You can punch on the reverse side of the DSP to get a mirror image from your punch shape.  (Dog punch, Cat punch, Tulip Punch etc)
  • Rediscover the beauty of your bling and stock up on your favourites before they retire.  e.g. In Colour Faceted Dots.
  • Play with some different card designs, use different DSP’s for a totally different look.
  • Make some pretty cards and send some pretty cards to #sharesunshine.
  • The COVID19 Giveback is world wide with all proceeds going to COVID19 Response. (eg WHO)  Approx $US 200,000 raised to date.

Here are a few photos for you. Please feel free to use these designs for your own creativity.

Clearance Rack

I would like to share another tip with you.  It’s a good idea when ordering, to have a quick look at Clearance Rack.  There are usually great bargains to round off any order you may have.  Here is the link to Clearance Rack.

Last Chance Products

It’s always sad to wave goodbye to our favourites, but there are still opportunities to pick up some treats before they are gone.  If you would like to place an order while stock last, please go to my On Line Store to browse and order or, contact me directly to order.
Here is the link to my On Line Store and here is my email address:

You can see above, the fancy fold card, using the Bonanza Buddies Stamps and DSP.  The design is readily adaptable to other DSPs and embellishments.  Daisies, Poppies and Tulips would also work well and all of these are continuing into the next catalogue.   I’ve also used the retiring stamp set Grandma’s House in one of my #sharesunshine cards. Can you pick which one?

Early Release – Ornate Garden Suite

The Ornate Garden Suite is offered for Early Release and it is in the upcoming 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.  I have featured this bundle in one of my recent blog posts.

2020-2021 Annual Catalogue

Yes! We are getting excited.   The beautiful new catalogue will launch on June 3, when most of the products listed will be available for purchase. I know that some of you are waiting desperately and I will certainly be monitoring the news for you.

This year, I organised for your catalogue to be mailed directly to you.  If you have shopped with me in the last year, and you have not received your free catalogue, please let me know and I will follow up for you.   If you have yet to place that order, please let me know, so I can organise a catalogue for you.

The Catalogue can be viewed On Line from June 3.  Here is the link to my On Line Store.

My pre-order of pretty new things has arrived, but as I can’t meet with you all in person, I’ve made some videos to share with you. They are readily accessible on YouTube.  You just need the links (shown below).  There are three videos, each less than 15 minutes, and all start with the view of our garden path as we ‘walkthru’ my pre-order.

You can therefore view in three parts.  But you still might want to make a cuppa!  Here are the links to view the products in more detail.  I’ve included the catalogue page references for you.  The references are in the same order as the video.
